The B.Sc. Animation programme, aligned with the government-prioritised AVCG sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Comics and Gaming), offers a comprehensive curriculum covering 2D and 3D animation, visual effects, character design and storytelling. The programme prepares students for careers across animation, gaming, EdTech, medical animation and interactive media.
Offered in collaboration with the Media and Entertainment Skill Council (MESC) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), this programme integrates graphic design with digital media and marketing practices. Radio Manipal 90.4 MHz: MIC houses 'Radio Manipal,' the community radio station launched in September 2008. With a 50-watt transmitter, it reaches an estimated 165,000 people in Manipal, Udupi and nearby villages. The station broadcasts in Kannada, Tulu and Konkani, featuring programs on health, education, agriculture and local events, aiming to empower the community and promote local participation.
