The B.Sc. Animation programme, part of the government-prioritized AVCG sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Comics, and Gaming), offers a comprehensive curriculum focused on 2D and 3D animation, visual effects, character design and advanced storytelling techniques. Radio Manipal 90.4 MHz: MIC houses 'Radio Manipal,' the community radio station launched in September 2008. With a 50-watt transmitter, it reaches an estimated 165,000 people in Manipal, Udupi and nearby villages. The station broadcasts in Kannada, Tulu and Konkani, featuring programs on health, education, agriculture and local events, aiming to empower the community and promote local participation.
