Programmes Offered:

B.A. (Hons) Journalism and Mass Communication

Deeply entrenched in the composite philosophies of convergence and transdisciplinarity, this one-of-a-kind programme prepares students for the constantly evolving Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry through a healthy mix of comprehensive theory modules, immersive practical exercises, and industry exposures. The minor courses in Psychology/ English/ Political Science/ History/ Sociology provide students a varied spectrum to make sense of the world around them and become conscious and conscientious professionals. To keep in tune with the paradigm shifts in communication practices, the programme deliberately focuses on the new-age ideas of seamless storytelling and technology integration.

B.A. (Hons) Psychology

Students pursuing a B.A. (Hons) in Psychology receive hands-on training through counselling and psychology laboratories. The curriculum covers core areas such as cognitive, developmental and social psychology. The programme emphasises research-driven projects, equipping students with analytical and practical skills to address real-world psychological challenges

B.A. (Hons) English

The BA English Programme offers a contemporary, career-oriented approach to the humanities. Combining academic depth with industry relevance, the programme equips students with critical thinking, communication expertise, research skills, and professional confidence. Students majoring in English can elect minors in Psychology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Political Science, History, or Sociology, allowing them to build interdisciplinary strengths and tailor their learning to diverse career pathways. The curriculum features three specialization tracks—Language, Literature, and Industry, supported by flexible elective baskets. The unique Industry-focused courses, taught by experienced practitioners, introduce students to fields such as Corporate Communication, Editing and Publishing, and Translation Practice, ensuring real-world relevance. The program strongly emphasises project-based learning to enable students to graduate with a professional portfolio, while a credited internship component, guided by faculty and industry mentors, provides meaningful workplace exposure. The program integrates fieldwork and community engagement to foster socially aware, future-ready graduates prepared for careers and higher education alike.

B.A. (Hons) in History / Political Science / Economics / Sociology

  • Double Majors (DM): History / Economics / Sociology / Political Science
  • This unique offering enables students to specialise in any two disciplines (History, Political Science, Economics and Sociology). The multidisciplinary nature of the programme enables students to understand and act on social realities, makes them conversant with various kinds of data and develop communicative abilities to engage with different kinds of audiences. The programme supports students' aspirations for higher studies in interdisciplinary programmes such as public policy, international relations and development studies as well as for competitive examinations.

  • Economics Majors (Major with Minors – MM): History / Sociology / Political Science
  • The major-minor programme builds students' foundations in economics as well as a greater focus on quantitative methods and approaches. The minor courses from history/sociology/political science offers real-world perspectives emerging from these disciplines. The programme enables students to apply for graduate programmes in MSc/Masters in Applied Economics or specialized research roles.
